Looking forward to your upcoming holiday? Or about to start planning your trips for next year? Well lets jump right into the essential travel items I think you should always be packing.
1. A Pen!
Now this might seem like a silly start but so many people travel without the basics like this. It can always be handy to have your own pen to save time and hassle if there’s something you need to fill in at your hotel or airport.
2. Power Bank
I always travel with my trusty portal charger as I’d never want to be stuck with a dead phone. This is an essential travel item because sometimes charging outlets are hard to come by and if they are available someone’s probably beaten you to using it.
3. Reusable Water Bottle
To save on buying water, you can always bring an empty refillable bottle through airport security. Most places nowadays have somewhere you’ll be able to fill it up.
4. Copies of Travel Documents
When traveling, I think it’s always best to plan for the worst. Carrying copies of IDs and important documents could make a bad situation slightly more bearable.
5. Waterproof of Choice
Whether you like a raincoat, poncho or umbrella, I think bringing some form of wet weather gear is a good idea. Ponchos are great for covering yourself and your bag and take up hardly any space. You always have to prepare for the unexpected when traveling, so I think this is a must.
6. Cardigan/Scarf
Even If you are heading to a hot destination, I always recommend bringing something to cover your shoulders/arms. So many places still have colder evenings and Aircon inside buildings can be pretty chilly too. You should definitely have it for on the plane as well. It could even double as a pillow if you don’t want to wear it.
7. Solid Toiletries
Traveling hand luggage only? Solid Toiletries could be a great investment to cut down on liquids. Check out brands such as Ethique and Foamie for a range of products. Most are much more environmentally friendly too!
8. Reusable Bag
Any kind of reusable shopping or tote bag is always handy to have on a trip. An extra bag could be used for Dirty laundry, beach day bag, food shopping or to store wet swim wear if you’re moving locations. I personally travel with an abundance of different bags I can use for all these different reasons and more.
